5B 60th Royal American Regiment

The 60th R.A.R. was raised in 1755-56, following General Braddock's defeat by the French, to facilitate forest warfare.

 

 

 

 

 

 

6B Bagpiper

Bagpipers were an important component to the British. They, like the drummers and fifers, were used on the battlefield to convey orders to the troops.

 

 

 

 

                            

5F Coureurs de Bois

When the fur trade was re-established in 1718, the French Military supervised the traffic. However, it was the group of independent French traders, known as Coureurs de Bois, who had the closest relationships with the Natives.

 

 

 

 

     

 

6N Ojibwa Woman

There is not a great deal of historical writing devoted to any one individual Ojibwa woman. However, they played a very important role in the survival of their people.

 

 

 

 

      

           5N Wenniway

Wenniway was Chief Minivavana's eldest son. On several occasions he participated in the French and Indian War, in war parties headed east to fight the British on behalf of the French.
